Adaptive Swim Instructor

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Adaptive Swim Instructor to join our team at TheSwimWhisperer Academy LLC. This role is perfect for someone passionate about creating meaningful impact through inclusive, personalized swim instruction.

You will work closely with individuals of diverse abilities, tailoring lessons to their needs—whether they’re new to the water or looking to enhance their swimming skills. Responsibilities

Deliver one-on-one and group instruction in a safe and supportive environment
Teach essential swimming techniques and water safety skills to kids and teens of all skill levels
Modify teaching methods and plans to meet the unique goals and challenges of each swimmer
Motivate students and help build their self-confidence, independence, and comfort in the water
Collaborate with parents and caregivers to communicate progress and provide insights into each swimmer’s journey
Promote pool safety and instill life-saving skills
Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and any incidents as per organizational policy

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who brings passion and empathy to every lesson. Ideal candidates will have:

Experience teaching, especially to adaptive or special populations groups
Strong patience and empathy when working with individuals with varying physical or cognitive abilities
Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable personality
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
Comfort teaching in deep water settings
Willingness to obtain certifications and participate in ongoing training as needed
Certified Water Safety Instructor is a plus
OT, PT and Special Education teachers is a plus
